Fall Fun at the Pumpkin Patch.

So last weekend we actually had the opportunity to do something fun as a family. Adam took a break from studying from mid-terms and we went to a local pumpkin patch to choose a Jack-O-Lantern. Even though the pumpkins weren't actually on vines it was a fun little adventure. They had this pit full of dried corn and tractors for the kids to play with which keegan loved. It was all at this 100 year old dairy farm, which Keegan really loved. We all went on a tractor ride to where they have the pumpkins you can choose from but Keegan was so cute and only wanted to drive the tractor. He made friends with the tractor driver and went and sat by him and copied everything he did. It was so cute!

There were some farm animals to pet too which was fun for Keegan, he really liked the goats, and we saw an actual pony which he insisted was a cow.  He calls squirrels ponies and I cannot convince him they are actually squirrels.

We all really enjoyed the family time and I am looking forward to fall.  All the trees really have been beautiful this past week as they have changed from their yucky inbetween colors to bright reds and yellows and oranges.  I am amazed at how bright the leaves are.  I keep trying to take some pictures but they just don't really show the colors just right.  Things have been setteling down for us as Adam is finishing up mid-terms and I think I am finally adjusting to my new job and Keegan is starting to open up at daycare.  I guess last week there was one day that he would just not stop cuddling and hugging one of his teachers Miss Tracy, and he is starting to talk a lot more they tell me.  I love picking up the cute little art projects that they do and it's so fun to be able to ask him what he did at school and have me actually tell him.  We have a new routine of coming home and having a quick snack and talking about our day before we have to get started on chores, and before daddy gets home.  Keegan has really enjoyed that part of the day just winding down with his mommy and I really have too. He just makes my day, even when he throws tantrums nearly the whole time we get home.  I guess it's just one more phase we need to get through.  I am really trying to be more consistent with discipline but sometimes it's really hard when I'm tired not to lock myself in my room and just ignore him when he is being crazy, which he is a lot lately.  Well, we are all doing well even though the past few months have been a bit of a struggle.  I can't believe that it has actually been as long as it has since we have been here. I have been at my job for nearly three months now!  Which is great since that means my insurance will finally start, which I can't wait for.
