Yay Our stuff finally arrived yesterday morning and we have been able to start unpacking. it has been so nice to have our bed to sleep on, and to have a table and chairs. Adam has been enjoying having our television again and we have been happy to be able to make this house more of a home. We still have a ton of work to do and won't really be able to settle in until we get some storage ( we have no closets yet) so all of our clothes are still in boxes and everything is a little chaotic - except the front room which we have managed to put together fairly well. I am continuing to look for work and mostly we are just trying to survive the heat. Our little air conditioning unit is helping out a ton, as are the thunderstorms that have been happening almost every day. I am glad the thunderstorms don't seem to scare Keegan, he actually really likes them, but they make me a little nervous. I guess there are several surrounding counties and parts of Cinncinnatti that have had some pretty heavy storm damage but we have been just fine here. I am hoping that it will start to cool down but we have all really been enjoying the park and public pool that are just across the street from us. We really enjoy our little neighborhood except for the parking. No one has a driveway, so everyone parks on the street, but they clean the streets with sweepers and you have to move your car according to the sweeping schedule, so yesterday i had to move the car around the corner and then I had to move it to another corner this morning to avoid getting a ticket. After three I can finally mover the car back to our street- I am just grateful our street is quieter so they only sweep every now and then instead of every week. Keegan is absolutely loving having all his toys back and was so excited to sleep in his car bed once again. He really loves our hard floors too as they make driving cars around a lot faster. Yesterday when we were opening up our boxes it was like christmas all over again- he thought every box would be full of his toys and was so mad when a bunch of them were just clothes and dishes.
